If you have your own vehicle or a hire vehicle, it’s easy to self drive to Kuranda. The Kuranda Range road is a scenic trip up the mountains, passing through rainforest. Watch for the Kuranda turn signs.

Skyrail is a 7.5km journey, taking you from Caravonica (near Cairns) to Kuranda. From Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal it’s a short 10-minute walk up Coondoo Street, to the Heritage Markets and Birdworld Kuranda.

The historic Kuranda Scenic Railway provides a relaxed journey from Cairns and Freshwater, to Kuranda. From the station, it’s an easy walk up Coondoo Street (10-minutes) to the Heritage Markets and Birdworld Kuranda.
